.aero - the world's first industry-based top level Internet domain

Reserved exclusively for aviation, .aero is inspiring a revolution in the way people access and use air transport information.

>> ADVISORY

At the last .aero council (DAC) meeting on June 6th, it was recommended that SITA release 3-letter airport codes (location identifiers) and the currently reserved special industry and other reserved domain names for registration by eligible members of the aviation community on a first-come-first-served basis. Airports have a limited time to register their respective codes. Click here for more information.

.aero was developed in response to the growing need of the community, and is designed to create a structured, open and constantly evolving Internet naming architecture which will help the aviation community to integrate systems and service, and streamline communications within the community and with its partners.

Clear and present visibility

If you use the .aero suffix, everyone knows you're in the aviation business.

.aero registry does not support "front running"

Recent industry discussions have centered on a new phenomenon termed "Domain Name Front Running". To read full press release, click here.
